March 12 is a big date in my life.

My husband Marcus and I first "met" randomly in a chat room online (I was wasting time after finishing my work in a computer class at UT) and became casual friends. We were both in relationships when we first talked, but eventually we were both single. I had always wanted to visit Europe so I decided to take a chance and buy a plane ticket to meet him. When I told my mom about my plans, she told me not to "go over there and fall in love and move to Sweden". I guess I didn't listen very well because I did fall in love.

Until we were actually married in 2004, March 12 is the day that we celebrated our anniversary every year because it is the day that I arrived in Sweden and we were finally able to see and talk to each other in person. It's good that we actually got along since I didn't know anyone else in Sweden!

Over the last ten years, we've traveled a lot to be together (I've been out of the country over 300 days during that time), talked on the phone quite a bit, and chatted online way too many times to ever count. To this day, we still chat online almost daily, and I can't imagine my life without him. He's everything that I could ever want in a husband. I've had some rough times in the last decade, but he's been my one constant source of strength and happiness. I am so thankful for his constant love and support and just hope that he knows how much I love him and how happy I am to be with him.

Marcus, jag älska dig!

The server that hosts my photo galleries will be doing a platform upgrade during the night March 13/14. Please notice that the galleries will go down for a few minutes during this time. Even though most people will be in bed when it happens, I would hate for someone to start a large order late Thursday night and then lose it when the upgrade takes place. The exact down time is unknown but will occur between midnight and 6AM on March 14.

Marcus and I have had a busy week. In a trip that took less than 24 hours, we drove to Memphis and back for a citizenship test/interview with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly INS). His application was approved so now we just have to wait for the next swearing-in ceremony. He was already a permanent resident, but becoming a citizen will allow him to vote and never have to renew anything so that's exciting.

Today I'm mailing out some print orders and an engagement/guest book for my 6/7/8 couple Malinda & Del. Here's a quick photo of the cover and the layouts.

Have a great weekend and stay warm. They're saying we might finally see some snow!

This time of year, I work more on print and album orders than new shoots, but today I've been messing around in Photoshop with some recent shots of L & S at the park.

I'm going to be doing a bit of end-of-the-month cleaning in the next few days and will be taking down all expired photo galleries. That means that all the procrastinators out there have one more day to get in any final orders for those galleries. (The expiration dates are listed at the top of the galleries.) Galleries can be extended if you contact me before a gallery expires.
