Lindsey and Aaron drove up from the Chattanooga area this week for an engagement session around Norris Dam State Park. These two are getting married at Whitestone Inn next spring, and I am SO looking forward to it.

The couple's dogs were excited and wouldn't hold still, but we came up with some pretty cute pictures anyway.

For the second half of our shoot, we went to historic downtown Franklin. Bekah, one of Melanie's friends and clients, modeled for us.

I know that it seems to make sense that you would get better photos in pastoral, natural settings, but I like working in the grungy, urban spots. Some of my favorite photos of the day were taken in the parking garage.

In order to accommodate all of the couples with fall sessions and weddings, my processing workload has gotten a little behind. To keep everyone updated, I am currently processing the first week in October. Those with orders or sessions before October 7 should expect to hear from me this week with gallery links or delivery notices.

Last week I spent a couple of days at David Beckstead's workshop in Nashville. The fabulous Sean and Melanie McLellan hosted the event and lined up the locations and models for us. We spent one day shooting and the second day being critiqued with a major focus on photo composition.

The first half of the day was spent at a farm with recent bride Kerri and country singer Matt Stillwell as our models.

Luminary United Methodist Church, Ten Mile, TN

Meghan and Charles had an afternoon ceremony followed by a cake and punch reception at Luminary United Methodist Church in Ten Mile. Their photography coverage was short, but we managed to make it out to Chuck's parents' home on the lake for a few photos afterward. I love the pick-up skirt on Meghan's gold dress. She had a beautiful veil to match, but she ditched it after the ceremony to show off her pearl tiara.
