My friend Hillary came into town from Nashville on Friday to do a portrait session. We had lunch at Tomato Head (yum!), and it was great getting to hang out with her and her boyfriend. We then worked our way around downtown Knoxville looking for cool photo spots and avoiding the rain sprinkles. Her boyfriend Don celebrated his birthday this week, and the pair spent a romantic weekend in Gatlinburg after Friday's session.

In Nashville, Hillary is currently partnering with Courtney Hammon at A Magical Affair event planning. Even if you aren't in Nashville, their blog is a growing resource for those planning a wedding and worth checking out.

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. Here are some pics from a fun engagement session with Tessa and Bruce last week. They're getting married this June at Dara's Garden and are so cute together.

What a beautiful day we've had! Here are some photos from a quick session at the park today with Kate. She's six and is a spunky little girl but very cooperative. While I waited on her to change outfits, I chatted with her little sister and snuck a few quick shots.

Marcus and I have had a busy week. In a trip that took less than 24 hours, we drove to Memphis and back for a citizenship test/interview with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly INS). His application was approved so now we just have to wait for the next swearing-in ceremony. He was already a permanent resident, but becoming a citizen will allow him to vote and never have to renew anything so that's exciting.

Today I'm mailing out some print orders and an engagement/guest book for my 6/7/8 couple Malinda & Del. Here's a quick photo of the cover and the layouts.

Have a great weekend and stay warm. They're saying we might finally see some snow!

This time of year, I work more on print and album orders than new shoots, but today I've been messing around in Photoshop with some recent shots of L & S at the park.
