I am currently on maternity leave to spend time with my family. Although I was already caught up on most things, all work is on temporary hold. Once I settle into my new role as mommy and am getting more sleep then I will be finishing up any outstanding orders.

Although I am not shooting weddings for the rest of 2009, I am accepting wedding contracts for the 2010 season as well as limited portrait sessions for the fall/winter.

I am really looking forward to getting back to work full time next year, but in the meantime I am going to enjoy every minute that I can with my new little boy. Since I don't have separate personal and business blogs, this may appear to be the Hayden baby blog for a few months, but I intend to take full advantage of having my own personal baby model and hope that everyone else will enjoy the photo updates as he grows.

As of this afternoon, I am officially on winter break. To fully relax and enjoy time with my family, all emails and calls that come in over the holiday will receive a response after I return to work January 5. In the meantime, I hope that everyone enjoys the holidays! Don't get too caught up in the shopping, traffic and cooking. Instead, take time to see the beauty around you and be thankful for the little things that make life so amazing.



The downturn in the economy is really taking a toll on a lot of good people. Don't forget to help out those you can this season.

I snapped a few photographs today of two albums waiting to be picked up. The first is a 9x13 digital storybook with photo paper pages and embossed names on a leather cover. The second is a 10x10 art book with matte pages.

I got a new phone today! The new number is 865-360-4567.

It's going to be a real pain to update my number all over the internet, but at least now I have an excuse to get new business cards.

Winter months don't have nearly as many weddings as the rest of the year, but I do have a lot of album and print orders to keep me busy when it's cold. Here are a couple of recent albums that I have waiting to be picked up.

I do offer books from a few different album manufacturers, but these are both from the same company. This book was the most popular with my brides this year, and square is definitely hot. Each book has a custom photo cover. Emily and Bryan have a 10x10" album.





Tessa and Bruce have a 12x12" album with two 8x8" parent albums.





These digital books are printed on a sturdy-but-flexible art paper which allows for panoramic photos to be printed across the center gutter of the book.
